Since SCAL was licensed in 2012, the Company has acquired comprehensive reinsurance protection, in accordance with the requirements of the Insurance Act 1995. SCAL currently acquires its reinsurance protection through a LLoyd’s accredited Malaysia-based reinsurance broker, PWS Labuan. PWS Labuan are well established firm with offices also in London and Singapore.

- Ratings alone, do not determine the credibility of reinsurers especially in countries where sovereign rating are low, the reinsurers can not get better ratings.
- As standard practice, we screen their balance sheets, and track record of paying claims, especially commercial decisions before bringing them on board.
